Mandela Day 2025: Declutter with Purpose & Spread Hope with Hospivision

This Mandela Day, we invite you to join Hospivision in making a tangible difference in the lives of patients in South Africa’s public hospitals. In the spirit of giving 67 minutes for the greater good, we’ve lined up meaningful projects at every hospital where we serve—offering spiritual, emotional, and practical support to patients, families, and hospital staff.

But this year, we’re also calling on you to “Declutter with Purpose."

Declutter With Purpose Campaign

Hospivision is collecting gently used and new items to support those we care for in hospitals across Gauteng and the Western Cape. Every donation will go directly to patients who often have little more than a hospital bed during times of illness and vulnerability.

What You Can Donate:

Clothing & Shoes
  • Male, female, and child sizes

  • Clean and gently worn

  • Socks, shoes, warm wear

Books, Bibles & Magazines
  • Light reading material for long hospital stays

  • Inspirational and spiritual content is welcome

New Toiletries
  • Toothpaste, toothbrushes

  • Deodorant, body wash, lotion

  • Shampoo and conditioner

Baby Supplies
  • Nappies (all sizes), baby clothes

  • Burp cloths, blankets

  • Aqueous cream, bum rash cream

Or, if you’d prefer, you can make a monetary donation instead via our secure iKhokha link: Donate to Mandela Day with iKhokha

Drop-Off Details:

📍 Gauteng: Tshwane District Hospital
📍 Western Cape: Tygerberg Hospital
🕘 Drop-off time: 09:00–12:00 on Friday, 18 July 2025

If you’re unable to drop off items during those times, don’t worry! Just email Christél Kloppers at growth@hospivision.org.za to arrange an alternative day and time or to ask any questions.

Together, we can honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela by touching lives and giving hope—one book, blanket, or bottle of lotion at a time. Every small act of kindness adds up to real transformation in the lives of those who need it most.

Let’s give our 67 minutes—and more—with purpose.
