Vredenburg Provincial Hospital is located at 123 Voortrekker Road, Vredenburg, serving the West Coast District region. Under the leadership of CEO Dr Madelyn van Schalkwyk, the hospital provides essential healthcare services across multiple departments including Paediatrics, Maternity, General, Trauma, Psychiatric, Outpatient, Dialysis, and Allied Healthcare facilities, with a combined bed capacity of 114.
Our Work at Vredenburg
HospiVision volunteers at Vredenburg Provincial Hospital provide pastoral-spiritual care and counselling to patients and families across the hospital's wards. Our dedicated team of volunteers works closely with hospital staff to ensure patients receive holistic care during their hospital stay.
Community Partnerships
Hospital Collaboration
HospiVision has been invited to serve on the hospital's Gender-Based Violence Task Team. During the annual 16 Days of Activism campaign against violence against women and children, our volunteers participate in awareness programmes and prayer walks throughout the hospital.
Special Projects
In partnership with volunteer Ingrid Schulze and generous sponsors, HospiVision completed an upgrade of the paediatric ward playroom, creating a child-friendly space where young patients can read, play, and spend quality time with their parents during their hospital stay.
