At Mamelodi Regional Hospital, HospiVision and Rev. Stephen Ndada, our coordinator, brings pastoral care, spiritual support, and counselling to patients, families, and staff alike. Our presence is built on a formal partnership with the hospital — a signed Memorandum of Understanding that recognises how illness and hospitalisation can be a difficult and traumatic experience, especially for those who lack access to adequate resources and support.

Our care at Mamelodi takes shape through daily and weekly rhythms:

• Morning devotions with staff — Monday to Friday, beginning the day alongside the personnel who carry the weight of hospital work, with a monthly prayer meeting for staff.
• Ward and outpatient visits — one-on-one visits and follow-ups across the wards and the Outpatients' Department (OPD), praying with patients and encouraging those who have lost hope.
• Bereavement and family support — counselling for grieving families and staff, and care that extends to the family issues patients carry with them.
• Memorial services — held to honour and mourn a staff member who passes away, standing with the hospital community in loss.

Alongside spiritual care, our team offers practical help — distributing clothing to discharged patients who have nothing to wear home, and providing Bibles to patients and personnel who want them.

HospiVision serves Mamelodi under a formal Memorandum of Understanding, working to establish sustainable support systems that serve the sick, vulnerable, and disadvantaged, with an emphasis on community and individual ownership and involvement. We are committed to working hand in hand with hospital management — in good faith, in full confidentiality, and in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

HospiVision's presence at Mamelodi reaches hundreds of patients, families, and staff every month — through initial visits, follow-ups, personnel care, and bereavement counselling — a steady, faithful presence woven into the daily life of the hospital.
